I am wanting to start branching in the commercial direction but dont know where to start.
I heard from someone that there was a guy that was no longer going to service a group of stores. I then started noticing the stores have been left alone and a few are atleast 2ft tall. I have called all of the stores and NOONE can give me a phone number to call. All they can give me is the customer service line which leads nowhere!
Any suggestions on how you guys find the opportunity to bid a commercial account?

NOw is the time to strike, walk right in to any of the stores and ask, they will lead you in the right direction

Sorry for asking, but why is now the time to strike?
Also, Walking in wont make a difference. I have already talked to them on the phone. Even store managers didnt know a phone number for me to call.

How do you guys go after shopping centers and such? I know its usually one person who owns several of them. How do you find them?

There is most likely a sign of some sort or something or other on the property that states the name and number of the Property Management Company. They will have the contracts...

At least that's how it is down here a lot of the times.

Go to your local courthouse and find out who owns the property. Sometimes they have contact info. If the building is leased then they will know who they are leasing it to and most likely have the company's AP number.

We have whats called a GIS system where I live. It's like a google earth but with a property card, names and adresses, areal photos, building tax info, net worth, square feet, and property lines.

Its pretty awesome. I use it all the time. It takes a bit to get used to but once you know how to use it, it is a mountain of information.

I'm pretty sure it's only for my county. Maybe try your county's website. They may have it also.
