what conditions are required for applying atrazine?

    I live in mass and can't wait to kill those clovers & dandys!! Never used atrazine can one of u guys walk me through the process, just used weed and feed which has never really done anything...I just found this site..it rules...been in business for 5 years but just got serious and went full time this year...

    First, you need to be licensed/certified to apply pesticides unless you're doing it to you own property. AAtrex formulation is a restricted use herbicide and you'll have to be certified to buy it anyway. Second, be cognizant of the turfgrass you're applying it to. You can do serious damage to certain types of grass. Here in the southeast, you can't apply atrazine to zoysia or bermudagrass during green up. Also stay away from the root zone of ornimentals. The amount of formulation will be dependent on the turfgrass. Regardless of what you're told, read the labeling.
