what do you do

    customer just had lights installed by other. Not satisfied. Calls you and wants to fix. What is there is totally unfixable, fixtures, transformers , connectors everything inferior. No way will it do what customer wants. You explain this to customer and customer says but I just paid x and I don't want to pay y again. I just want it to look good and work right. You know damn well that with what is there you cannot provide a long term solution and in the short run will not satisfy customer. Do you stand by your original advisement and push for all or nothing or do you cave and give the customer what they ask for even though you know it's not going to solve the problem and make them satisfied.:dizzy:

    It's awfully easily to sit here and say hypethetically that I would tell them it's my way or the highway. That would be what I would want to do . however it would depend upon my relationship with the customer. I would look at the power center/ connections/ lamps--load on pc/and design. chris

    500w Buck boost transformers, 1-12-2 cable run from each transformer, daisy wire method , wire nut splices, MR-16 fixtures that have water in them, etc. Fixtures a couple of hundred feet out from transformers in some instances. Now what do you do?

    Then you simply say "I am very sorry to be the bearer of bad news to you here but you paid for inferior work that I cannot fix to your satisfaction without doing the following things.........So you have one of three choices..\
    stay with what you have now-or
    Call the guy back and insist he do it right or remove it and give you your money back
    -or cut your losses and hire me to install the system the correct way and satisfy your needs.
    .I am sorry but installing a whole different system the correct way is the only way I can help you to achieve your goals.\
    So think about it if you need to and give me a call if you decide to use me thank you very much..heres my card good day."
    think you can handle that HotShotKiddo?

    this was a total no brainer.

    A its not your fault they got crappy work
    B you were called out because there wasnt happy with so and so
    C tell them what it needs and if they dont like it its thier problem not yours


    Then again unless you were the moron who did the install originally lol. Go back to selling lights on eBay
