What do you think? (cold calling/estimating commercials)

The Snow Biz is kinda slow pretty often. So with all my free time I am thinking about going around and figuring out bids on some commercial accounts for lawn care in 2008. I figure if I do it for 5-6 hours a day, everyday for the next few weeks I sould be able to get a couple hundred bids ready to give out in early Jan.

These would be based off just driving by, picking an account, and writing an estimate for seasonal pricing.

Do you guys think I should just figure out a mowing bid, and bring it in to the manager? Or should I first go in and talk to the manager, and see what all they want included in a bid?
