What do you think of my Route sheet?

    I came up with this to schedule my lawns and print each day for my route.

    Let me know what you think I should add, take away, etc.

    I am just solo right now and it would only allow me the space of 7. So it has to work for now.

    Don't need both account# and address; they mean the same thing. Delete the address column, and increase the notes one. You'll want to have a lot more space for notes.

    If I have just the account number and not the addresss I will not know wich lawn to do. I mean I do know some of the account address but not all of them. If I send a guy out with the sheet and it just has an account number he would not know either.

    I did however think about makeing the notes bigger but it was a matter of trying to fit it all in on the page. I mostly use the notes for grass was wet, gate wouldn't shut etc.

    Jason, I think you'd be better off checking out some of the ones offered by the software companies. You have a good start, but IMHO, it will become laborious to have to keep writing these things up every day. You may want to shrink your header way down to allow for more lines of info.
    Also, If this is the direction in which you're going to go, I think you should consider the following:
    1. Create a master form containing all information you find pertinent (client name, address, phone, client special notes/requests, leave room for notes if client see you and has comment or question) leave room at top for problems w/ truck or equipment so you can address them at days end.
    2. Save this file for each day of the week so you can print it out instead of having to fill it in all of the time. This way you can make revisions easily if you delete or add accounts.
    3. Figure out a way to track the accounts that are serviced every 2 weeks as opposed to weekly (if you offer services this way)

    Very well done. I agree that 7 is a bit small. Maybe you could change the format a bit to increase it to like 15. If this sheet is for employees I would also leave out the cost of each lawn. I use a palm pilot and put all the jobs in there for the employee. No need of pen and papper. Just another option.

    I really like the opinions I am getting here. I think I just might change it around a little. So here is something else that I have.

    This is what I use when a customer calls me. This is what I fill out and I keep it in the truck just incase I have to refer back to it. I also take the information and enter it into Quickbooks.

    Let me know if this looks ok.

    nice,Iassume that is just a customer record right and not a daily route sheet.That is alot of info to have to fill out each day.

    Yeah I just fill out out for the first time and keep it in a file or in a notebook.
