Okay so im 16, got my license, in the landscaping biz, and i need a work truck. Nothing big im pulling a single axle trailer with a z on it. I searched around and i finally found a pic of what i wanna get. It's an 09' GMC Canyon 4x4 with the box delete, and a dump bed on it. What do you think of this considering my use. Also gunna hang a BOSS plow on it already checked with dealer. Here it is...

you will ruin that with a plow. buy a truck that can handle plowing, i wear out parts on my f350 and dodge2500 hd. you can get a 2500 hd dodge for the same price yeah gas is more but it wont break like that will and you will defifnently be better off. plus it will actually plow snow that couldnt move a bank back like afull size truck

sorry kid it aint meant to plow! go ahead put one on im just telling you from being a mechanic and working on those trucks that it isnt built to carry any weight on the front end! none! most half ton truck arent. like i said you can buy a really nice f250, chevy 2500hd that will do all you ever wanted for alot less! i also want to tell you that buying a truck right now you should be able to get 30% off !!!!! new trucks arent selling at all any dealer trying to sell you that for 20000 should be shot! you can buy a loaded 2009 dodge 1500 that retials for 40000 for 28000 right now. im in this business my advice is good please dont write me off as a jerk ! im just telling you the truth.

I have a chevrolet trailblazer. It is basically the same chassis as the canyon. I also have a 2500hd. I stopped driving the 2500 due to gas prices and started pulling a 12ft trailer with the trailblazer. The trailer had a ztr 2 blowers and 2 trimmers on it. In 6 months time I have worn out the brakes and you can really tell there has been a lot of wear and tear on the trailblazer. I have since went back to the 2500. It has 145000 miles on it and I have never put brakes on it. It is a much better choice. I know you need to get as good fuel milage as you can. Why don,t you look at 05-06 2500 dodge rams. That 5.9l cummins diesel gets 20 mpg unloaded and it will be strong enough to carry that plow. I think that canyon will be worn out before it's paid for.

i was looking at a 2005 Sierra 4 door, duramax, 5 speed allison, flat bed and brush gaurd, 100 and something thousand on it. all for 14,000, thats a way better truck, for less and still has more miles left on it then a brand new "canyon" lol
