What height do you mow at?
I mow most of my lawns at 2 3/4" but there are two I cut at 3 1/4" and in the summer I raise the deck to 3 1/4" and 3 3/4 for the other two. I mow mostly Kentucky Blue and Rye.
I have my crews set the mowers at 2.5 - 3". I mow my own lawn at about 1", the fringe at 1/2" and the green at 3/16th. We are located in NH so the grasses would be mostly K blue and perrenial rye, the green is Penn G2
I start a little low. (spring ) Raise to maintain at 2.5
Finish at 3-3.5 (fall)
Alot of my stuff is weed infested lawns and the owner won't pay to have maintained correctly. I can do amazing stuff with crabgrass.
hey sodking where are you located in NH?
It really depends on the type of grass. The lowest we cut 2.5, but mostly 2.75 or 3. The highest is 3.5 to 4.25 on thick St. Aug lawns. In this heat, the higher the better. SCOTT
I mow at 3 inches
