I am wondering what handles the better over all. Not for cutting grass around trees and stuff, but just handles better over all? Mid or front mount? Any guys here have both?

Also, does the front mounts tear the grass a little less when turning or not? I see most golf courses and such have front mounts, so am thinking they tear the sod a little less.

I've had both and IMO the front mounts hold the side hills better. I side hilled slopes that a walk behind could not go up and would pull the operator down hill from the inertia.

John Deere F725 will hold a hill better than a John Deere M655. Possibly 725 has steering on one axle and power on other; 655 has power and steering on same wheel

Front mounts hold a hill beter.... no freakin way!!
Front mount can back up streep hills and that is about it.
I have had a walker and explorer...uless trying to cross any kind of slope.

My 72 super z will climb and hold anything you have the nerve to attempt.
My older Lazers did well also.
