I am planning on using Eliminate. I can only use 2-4-D twice a year on lawns so it has to be something without out it, such as dicamba. Any input on what you all use would be nice.

Is confront cheaper. Eliminate is 109 for 2 1/2 gallons. Do you have the trouble of volitilization etc with confront like Eliminate?

Confront is not labeled for Purslane. Does it do anything to it? Confront looks good, but if it can't control Purslane I don't know if I want it.

Here in Iowa we can use 2-4-D only 2 times a year to cover the whole lawn. But you can spot spray with it all you want. I use a product called Chaser to spot spray small areas.

Thanks for the info Nelski, I'm going to use my Momentum if that is the case. I will probably call IDALS to confirm. I've wondered about this, but never have been sure.

    JLC,
If you read the label on your Momentum you will see a maximum
of 2 broadcast applications per year. The label also states no
limit on # of times you can spot applicate lawns. This is true for
all 2-4D products. Momentum is the herbicide I use for broadcast
and all my spot spraying. ED
