I mix up 2 gal. gas today with ,1 oz. Sta-Bil ,(64:1)4 oz. Amsoil Saber Professional and put it in my new Husqvarna 580BTS and it run perfect no smoke and very little smell .As for the power this thing is insane I blew off 2 parking lots in 2 1/2 hours and only use 1 tank of gas vs Before if would all day with my handheld blower ,a shovel, bucket, push boom . With the 580 blew it from start to finish with out stopping . The rock would pile up but I could kelp on going.:cool2:

I use my 570 to blow the gravel out of the lawns in the spring that the county grader and plow trucks blast up in them when plowing the roads during the winter. No more raking for me.

OK. I'm just curious why are you curious. What I spend doesn't/shouldn't matter to anyone else since we all have different needs/requirements. What anyone else spends makes no difference to me for the same reason.

I probably use less fuel than many guys here do, due to all the different types of work I do/still do, but I use plenty. I don't use all those additives in my machines every time. Just the Sta-Bil.

I am not convinced that you need to add stabilizers to fuel in the busy season.

To get to Richards points, say starTron can be bought for $1 / oz and you add 2 Oz to 5 gallons for simplicity. If the crew uses 15 gallons of fuel a week then you are looking at an extra 6 bucks a week.

FWIW, my passenger car gets very little drive time. Seems like each fall, near inspection time th check engine light comes on. I have to run a fresh tank of gas and some rxp gas kicker through it to clear the codes. The codes always show as a bad Catalytic Converter O2 sensor in the rear bank. This clears it up and it last about 12 months.

Likely will run some through my engines this spring to see if it cleans up the carbs and improves the low idle.

I do run the stablizers in the winter but not during heavy use when the gas is used quickly. Might go to name brand fuel however this season as it does cause less problems than quick stop type places.

Like I said above, I put Sta-Bil in all my gas because I might fill a piece of equipment that I don't use regulalry and then not run it all out. I only use Star-tron or Sea-Foam once every two weeks to a month in the stuff I run more often since it gets started, heated up, then shut down which can cause more condensation, and thus mositure to collect in the fuel system which Star-Tron and/or Sea-Foam help move on through.

Im not 100% sure but I believe the stabilizers help with the ethanol problems.
