What is the rake of a ZTR????

    sorry for my ignorance:hammerhead:, but my toro isn't cutting right and someone said to adjust the rake. what is the rake on a zero turn? :confused:how do i go about adjusting it?

    well in roofing its the edge but on mower decks its how level the deck is from side to side and front to front. now your gunna ask how you check that

    The rake is the angle of the blades plane of rotation as it relates to the ground.
    This plane of rotation should be inclined toward the front of the mower.
    A "flat" or "negative" rake usually gives a poor quality of cut in thin blade grass.

    yeah, thats it!! it would only leave pushed over grass that what real tall and skinny. the stuff mixed into fescue.
