What is this bloom?

    Customer sent me a picture of a bloom she found on a tree. Has no idea what kind of tree it is and neither do I. Any takers?

    Looks like a sucker of a crab apple tree.

    Those little flat flying saucer type seeds are also very common around here just not sure off hand what they are... will revisit when I see them coming down around our area...

    Looks like elm samaras to me.

    Really,

    we have hundreds of elm trees here and not a one of them resembles this branch with foliage. BUT YOU ARE CORRECT.........IT IS THE SAMARAS OF THE NORTHERN ELM!
