What is this yellow stuff????

    thoughts on what this is? It started in my yard 2 days ago and over the course of 24 hrs has moved about 12-18" leaving no trace of where it was located in the mulch before

    It is a mold that comes from the mulch
    Just take it out with a shovel-- it is gross:cry:

    Its called dog vomit, its because compacted mulch. Just take it out with a shovel and stir up the mulh to get some air in it. b

    Slime mold that isn't affected by fungicides, so no know treatment for it is available. My own yard, and many other mulch jobs this year have had this.

    The above mention of tilling it will definitively help.

    I had to broadcast spray roundup one day for weeds, and seemed to control the slime mold. Not something I would recommend, but there might have been some coincidence there.
