all i know is centipedes can easily be distinguished from millipedes by counting the number of pairs of legs arising from most body segments: millipedes have two pairs, while centipedes bear one pair per segment, with the first pair of legs being modified into fangs.

i looked on google but didnt find anything that matched. these things are pretty small. the redish thing in the pic is a pine needle. so that tells you how small they are...if you touch them the turn on there side and curl up..

It looks like a millipede. They can be quite small.

millipedes look in the corners of the garage... they usually curl up when they die.
probably pushed out from heavy rains. usually live in the leaf litter in the beds of the shrubs.
