I havent been mowed lawns in a couple of years because I have been in school. When I was back up North I was getting around $40hr to mow lawns with my deck mower.

I was curious what the average rate for everyone is? thanks for the info.SY

the typical rule of thumb is a dollar/minute/man. so theioretically, if your a one man opperation you should be shooting for around $60.00/hour. I tend to get a little under because I am younger and havent quite worked my rates up to where they should be, but next season they will.

I only mow by the job, not by the hour.

i usually make around $60. I got smaller lawns that take only about twenty minutes with two mowers running

One way is to use the $1/minute as mentioned. Not too sure if that is always correct though depending on the property. We have jobs that we get $3/minute (go figure).

I'm with Paul and think hourly is more appropriate. How much that is you can only answer. Figure out what your hourly expense base is and then go from there. IMO your hourly rate should be at least double of your expense base.

So what about this question = What do you charger per hour for 2 men (counting Yourself) and using one zero turn, trimmer, edger and blower?
