What kind of extra services do you offer for your customers other than mowing and trimming? I'm just getting started and don't really have the money to go out and buy hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of equipment. I am set up for firewood, something I've done for years. What else should I look at getting into for some extra $$$?

Painting... You could get into painting exterier of houses or fences. Maybe power washing driveways or the such. Painting you just need a ladder and some extra insurance.

1)mulch is a great source of income and best of all you don't need any equipment. (cost of mulch)
    2)
Leaf removal has been very profitable for me but you need at least a good backpack blower or a bagger. $500
Hedge trimming is also a good add on service need a hedge trimmer $300
    Aeration (rent)
    Overseeding (rent)
    Detaching (rent)
And the list goes on... add anything i missed.

    We do the usualls,
    Pine Straw
    Mulch
    Fert & Squirt
    Hedge Trimming
    General (Light) Landscaping
    Leaf Removal

we are now adding Pressure Washing (see post http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.php?t=175249)

Our plan for the company is to eventually be a one stop shop of most all of your property needs on the outside of your home. As we grow, we will get bigger into landscaping, hardscaping, fences, landscape lighting adn anything else that we can feasibly ad as we grow.
