I'm having trouble identifing this grass. The builder seeded it before I bought the house. I can't ask him because I don't know which prision he is held in (no, I didn't put him there). Anyway, this grass apperars to spread by very thick stolons. The last two years I've noticed some Bahia migrating down from the road front, but this grass doesn't have those long v-shaped shoots. Any help would be very appreciated.
Additional Info: South Carolina, full sun, sandy soil

    What Crawdad said.....

Now, looks like it spreads by stolons, but produces tall straw shoots like Bahia grass? Sorta light green in color, thick at the ground like Zoysia, grows those tall shoots quickly sometimes?

If so I have an account with a patch and tried identifying it w/no luck.

    You call it GRASS.

Up here it the NE, we call it CRABGRASS. Who cares what kind it is, its just a PITA up here.

Down there, entire lawns consist of all this. I vacation down in the Outer Banks, and this is all I see down there! Beach grass!

In the 1st pic it does look like crabgrass. But not so much in the 2nd pic. Does it grow in bunches/clumps?

Or does it shoot up tall straw seed heads like this?
