Just curious as to what kind of truck you all use and how big. i saw an f-250 for sale and i was wondering if this was too big, too small or just the right size for an average everyday lawn man? any input is appreciated.. merry christmas to everyone..

2001 Chevy 1500 long bed with tools mounted on sides. Tow a 6' X 10' trailer for mowers and grass. All works fine, I don't need any more.........yet!

I drive a 2500HD diesel 4 door, short bed, it's a good size I can tow anything i need. It all depends on what you need. how big is your trailer? do you plow? do you haul a 7 ton dump trailer? there are lots of guys that use rangers and that works fine for a 5x8 trailer with one mower but for a 24' enclosed it will not work.

    F 250 4X4, F 250 2WD, S-10, F 350 2WD...All gas hogs except the Chevy S 10 for maintenance, but all earn their keep and then some...<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_2_127.gif' border=0></a>

I tow a 6x10 trailer with a Toyota 4RUnner......trailer and equipment are a little over 2500#. Tows fine......I also do light plowing with the 4Runner.....

I want a truck (it would have to be 4 door for the kids) but the money's not there yet and the wife needs a new vehicle first........

Lawn Wizards, it depends on which engine the Ranger has. If it's a 4 cylinder the truck will struggle to pull a 6X12 trailer that is loaded. THe V-6 would be better. I have a 3000 lb trailer and I was pulling it with a 4 cylinder S-10 so I do know.

I now have a 95 F-150 with the 5.0 engine and it pulls the same trailer just fine. And no, it's not the 5.0 in my avatar.
