what mower is the best

    what mower works the best on hill sides a walk behind with a sulky or a stand on mower ? i'am bidding on some properties and i do not need skid marks on the hill sides....... please give me your ideas ..... thanks

    i would use a walkbehind without the sulky.

    Try to ride a sulky on a steep incline and you'll figure it out.

    I don't know about their pricing, but John Deere walk behinds have the lowest center of gravity out of all the WBs. Stander style mowers are nice because you have the benefit of a platform to stand on without the added length and handling issues that come with a Velke. They're pricey though.

    CG of an older Gravely WB beats even the JDs. And I'd bet that a Gravely Rapid would too.

    Yeah, anyone that thinks they can use a sulky on a hillside needs to take a couple of tumbles down the hill and then they'll understand !!
