mine runs about 10% for every $400 i gross i spend about $40 on gas thats at about $2.85 a gallon which is where prices are now so $4 a gallon would cut my profits by about 5% if i don't add a surcharge - that's traveling and mowing - how about you guy's - actually it would not cut my profits by 5% - my expenses run at 50% so it would cut them 10%

In 2006 fuel cost was .056% of my gross .... last month May 2007 ....fuel was .069% of monthly gross .... if my fuel cost was 10% of my gross ... I'd be looking fore a hole in tanks or a thief

WTF! I hope you miscalculated. At .069% 30000.00 gross would only burn $20.70. Maybe you mean 6.9%.

I'm at 9%. I always pay cash to save a few bucks. Last night the price was $3.119 per gallon and I was pissed off.

Funny, if gas was $2,50 a gallon, I'd be happy as a clam in mud. But the difference is only about 2% or revenue, which basically is one customer. So presumably, if I pick up one extra customer, work one extra half hour or so a week, the high gas prices have no effect.
