I use Earth Way spreaders with pneumatic tires (2150 to be exact) and I am trying to figure out what setting to spread 1# N per 1,000 sq ft?

I have been searching past posts and finally gave up. What settings do you guys use who fert with Earth Way spreaders or even Lesco as I seen they are close in number settings?

I want to make sure I get this fert down right, especially using 46-0-0.

I just did my lawn and did a test at 10, it didn't spread well, the gates are not open far enough. I adjusted to 12-13 and it was spreading nice 6 ft pattern but I put down 0.63 lbs/1000.

    Why only .63 # per 1000?

And was that 12-13 on a EarthWay spreader?

Im with "lawnangel1," Id just eyeball it. Do a couple of lawns see how much is left it he spreader, and make adjustments as needed. Whats the worst thing that could happen, your only using 46-0-0!!!

No time to calibrate? It takes all of 10 minutes. Set it at 12-15 and adjust accordingly. Yes I am talking about Earthway.
