I'm bidding on a church and I might sub out the mowing of this 5 acre field. Its full of valleys and ruts, and needs to be mowed about once a month.

If I bid it with my 48" ZTR I was thinking something like $150 per acre or something. Or what do you think I can get someone to mow it for me? I don't have a field mower, and it doesnt need to be a fine cut, just something to keep the neighbors and the city happy.

here in ny Brush hogging gos for between 30 and 85 dollars an acre

depending on the height and obstructions

Your going to use your Z?

    i don't know if i'd cut it...

a guy on a tractor with a 6 foot brush hog could make short work of it.... but 150 an acre sounds super high ( for around here anyway)

    Hope this helps

I agree that $150 is very high. In my area, an acre with no obstacles, $85. It's diffucult to get $85 because someone else will no doubt bid it cheaper.
