What size trailer? 52inch WB, 21inch Lawnboy, with a little room to spare?

New to the forums, but have been suprised by the resource that has been created here.
I have a two part question. The first is what size trailer should I look for in order to pull a 52inch Scag WB, a 21inch Lawnboy, and to hold a few more goodies like the weed-eaters? I was looking at 5x8's but didn't know if I could get everything on there?

The second part of the question has to do with my vehicle choices. I currently own a 1997 Ranger with the 4cyl engine. Will it do the job? I don't plan on getting much larger in the near future as far as machines/business go. My other vehicle is a 1997 Subaru Legacy GT which has AWD but more HP than the Ford. Any opinions, ideas? Or should I look into the used car market for something different...?
    Thanks,

a 5X8 would be fine for that. get a trimmer rack and a cage for the trailer and you will save room on the floor.

    Buy a bigger truck...

So the Ranger will be no good for the job? Or can I "wing it" until I can actualy afford something bigger?

They Ranger will be fine, even the Subaru will work with a trailer hitch.
If you try to go bigger and become more professional, just get a good looking, dependable truck with good lettering on it. You are carrying less than 1500lbs I would guess, so you arent really putting much of a load on your pull vehicle.

Cool, that is what I was hoping. I'm currently on the fence of where I'm going business wise - since graduating I've been splitting time doing yards/landscaping and computer/network consulting. I would ultimately like to run a company for each, but we shall see.

With 5x8 trailer, Ranger can pull easily, you can pull a 52" Z with that too. My friend has this set-up and it works well as long as you have combined weight under 2000#.

Awesome, apreciate the replies too. Guess now I'll be looking for a 5x10ish trailer.

You might want to go bigger. At least try and go for a 6'6 X 12 trailer.

Also, this may sound dumb, but just make sure you properly secure your equipment to the trailer, and distribute the weight properly. You dont want to put a ZTR on the rear of the trailer!!!!!!!!
