I have a customer up here in the Northeast and their yard is all sand with light straw type grass... They want a thick green grass... Is there something I can do instead of top soil and/or laying out a sprinkler system???? ;)

mix in some organics. that will help with water retention
selling point on organics to the homeowner......reduced water bill from having to use the irragation so much. you will also need to check p/h if it is sandy you will probably have to add some sulfur to get the p/h down. the organics will help there as well.
