I'm beginning to think like Larry. Tell the dealer to keep it til it does 12mph.
I agree the Cheetah is their "Go Fast" machine, every Scag dealer knows that. But they would keep it till it did 12mph, they can turn the pumps up and they could eat it if they failed because of it.
I'm really hoping that scag makes it right. The ball is in they're court. I'll keep you informed.
Pamphlets change all the time, don't go by that.
Do you have anything in WRITING from the Dealer that says 12 mph, or was it just a quick call in and the sales rep said what you wanted to hear to close the deal.
If that's the case, I believe you are SOL.
Should have gone with your gut feeling. You knew it was a 10.5 mph machine but did not listen to yourself.
So.let's get to the bottom of this... How's the cut quality ?

Beautiful. If I had to have one complaint it's that it is a little "scalpy".
I'm looking right at my 2012 Scag borchure and it says on page 10 that the 25CH, 27CH and 750 KA models are all 10.5 MPH. So does their website.
Don't let the 1.5 worry you. It is rareyl useful for cutting grass anyway.
Does it say the 29ch is 12?
Mo, 10.5 MPH as does their site.
