One of my customers wants to hid his 2 central air units. I am thinking of putting some kind of latis or viynle fence up. What have you guys done in the past to hid the units?

whatever you decide just make sure your not blocking good air flow to the units, they have got to have plenty of air flow exchange.

I put boxwoods around 2 units and red twig dogwoods around another one. Far enough away not to obstruct but does cover it well.

I will usually put some hameln grasses and some Hetzii hollies around them. My opinion is that if you try to hide something it looks as if you are trying to hide it. Use your plantings to soften it and draw their vision away from the area. Sometimes less is better.

I also have two central air units at my house, we used Latis to cover them up and structured it pretty much like a fence, came out looking pretty good.

I like grasses around a/c units. Seems to work well.
