go with the redmax bcz2600 and don;t look back. Great power for the semi-over grown lawns and lights and balanced enough for everyday uses. LawnInOrder

I think the best trimmers on the market are Stihl 4-mix trimmers. I highly recommend the Fs-100 or The 110. They have enough power to handle almost every job, great trimmer.

If you can find them go with the shindaiwa t270 to me its the best thing you can buy. I know that this year they only made so many of them do to a loop hole in the rules the epa have. My dealer told me I could be them from him for about 400 or so. Im planning on getting another one I just need to save up some more $$$$$. I have tired sthil and echo and smaller shindaiwas and I would never go back to any of them. If I were you go to your local dealers and try some of the equipment out...See what you like, weight, dealer, and power are going to make up your mind at the end. Good luck and I hope you get what you want.
