    I got the same problem.

    Here is what I decided.
F-250 with dump trailer or dump insert or customer built bed dump.
    or
F-350 8' folding side dump body (so my kubota can reach into it.)
    or
F-450 10' dump body and buy a new tractor at some point.

I currently am leaning the most on the F-350 on price. If you plan to start doing more install work, a dump truck is a must.

I would not buy anything with F starting in front of the numbers. The F means you are F***ed. Get a chevy. :nono:

Can we please not turn this into a ford verses chevy argument. He is asking about ford trucks not chevy's.

i'd go for the pick up/ dump trailer combo. i think its more versatile. you can leave guys at a job site with a trailer full of pavers, sod, etc. then l'd take the truck to go pick up some other materials. not everything can get dumped, especially if you get into hardscapes. plus you get a nice daily driver out of the deal.

Adam, that is what I decided to do. I picked up a 2002 F350 PS dually crew cab and love it. I will hopefully be getting a enclosed trailer for the mowing equiptment in late winter or early spring and selling my open trailer, then pick up a nice 14 or 16 foot dump trailer for doing installs and mulching. I am so tired of having to shovel debris, dirt into a wheel barrow then dumping it into the trailer then shoveling that crap back out of the trailer. It will be nice when I can pull up to the dump and just hit a switch and have a trailer full of debris dumped in about two minutes.

cool plan. i'd like to get a small dump trailer some day, like a 6 x 10 or 12 if they make them that small. tight areas we have here.

    LOL,thats funny.

  9. Adam, I have a 6 x 12 dump trailer with a 10M GVW, in NY if you go over 10M on your trailer you need a CDL.
