what would it hurt ??

    i have an echo pe 200 and i hate it when the blade sheild keeps cloggin . up , i wonder if it would help if i cut like half of it off ? has anyone ever done this ?

    We do all of our edgers like that,sthil has the best design they won't work when you are edging and it's wet.

    I have the same problem, same edger. I just raise it up alittle and it stops cloggin-up. to deep and it will happen every time!

    I did that to my old Echo edgers (cut the guard) and it helped alot with the clogging problem. Echo now makes their edgers with an open face, a VERY nice improment.
