what would you bid

    i bid to trim some bushes at church a couple of weeks ago. they called today and said i didn't get it. what would you have bid to trim these bushes?

    then i'll tell you what got the bid.

    If what you are showing in the picture is all of the shrubs they have then I would say around $75. I could have all those trimmed and cleaned up in less than an hour. What did you bid? Are there more that are not in the picture?

    if i took my time it could be a 2hr job. $90 is my minimum so that is what i would charge.

    that's it, just those shrubs. i bid $80. the winning bid was $20....no joke.

    Unless you are a member you aren't going to get many church bids they just ask professionals to bid so they know what to pay the member. Those bushes didn't need trimming anyway....but $20 isn't that bad definitely less than a hour of work.

    It wasn't a real bid... they were just "fishing". Then told the alter boy to do it after 12pm mass for $20.00.

    I mean no disrespect to the big man above... (because the boss is always watching) but churches can be pretty cheap. Think "Charity" Everything for nothing.
