as you all know, i have a partner who never shows up and his brother is doing his work. well, when i go solo next year i'm taking his brother as an employee and i was wondering what a good dpmh would be. if he averages $12 per hour what should my dpmh be? thanks for replies.

depends on what he's doing randy, but I would think a minimum of 60...depends on your market too and what you can get without chasing away new business.

A bit of advice for you...........

Stay away from the soon to be ex partner's brother. You're ASKING for trouble.

    Find a new helper.

truth be known. my partner is my nephew and his brother is my nephew as well.... i trust him with the equipment, and i trust him to get the job done in case i'm down. thats the only reason i wanna keep him. he works hard and wants to see the business do well. unlike his brother.

O.K., second reason to find someone else.
    Don't hire relatives.
I understand you trust him but you will most likely regret it in the end.
