I started mowing this season with a mowing height of 3" seems to be doing good to help the grass with this heat and drought. I heard someone say move down to 2" for the last cut or two of the season. Is this good?

    each law nis diffrent,

I have some customers that I cut on a 5....yes a 5 and he sometimes ask me to go higher... I cant.

I have 1 customer the grass is wonderfull however if I cut it on a 3 1/4 it looks bad, there are small hills and ruts that scalp areas.

also some people love to water there lawn some dont....

    I am cutting mostly on a 3 3/4 to a 4

    it's just a judgement call.

I have a "mow list" and on it in the notes I put my cutting hight.

    good luck

We cut at 3 and half and shorter at the end of the season. It is an easier transiton into the new season when you start cutting again. Your not playing catch up. We also cut some at 4 and 5 but these get cut more often via CONTRACTS. The heat is a real pain in the A$$.
