i heard Husqvarna is taking over Redmax. does this mean that they are discontinuing the Redmax blowers? i need to buy one and i dont want to risk it and buy the new 170 husqvarna blower.

    i want an ebz7001 Blower.

what's the difference between these two models?!??!?

    ebz-7001
Is one more powerful than the other or what? Expensive??

I'm pretty sure RH stands for right hand, as in right hand throttle. On most RedMax blowers the throttle is on the left side, which I and most find more comfortable. The RH models have the throttle on the plastic handle on the tube on the right side, so it's the same exact engine and blower, the throttle location is the only difference.

And I doubt Husqvarna would discontinue the RedMax name, it's way to popular.

The 170 is basically an ebz7001 with a little different fuel tank and only comes with the tube mounted throttle at this point in time so it really doesn't matter whether you buy the redmax or the husqvarna model. just buy from whichever one has better dealer support in your area.

Yup, but I'm surprised how many people don't know it yet.

I don't see them doing away with the Redmax machines as that is why they bought them in the first place. Redmax had the new technology to pass the next tier EPA regulations and they did not.........Now they do.
