some of you mow?
this is a horrible question, if its even a question. i think what your asking is how late into the evening do we work???
we typically finish the day between 3-4pm, but due to weather id work until 8pm if necessary
4 After that people get home and want to talk. Try to be home and unloaded by 230 most days. Can't afford a twenty minute lawn taking 40 while paying helper 15 an hour
I agree with Rhett - residential get done before 4-5PM so you are not around when people get off work. Nothing more annoying than a mower going when people are trying to unwind after a stressful day at work. Plus, you want to mow when no one is around - get your job done and get out without further adieu.
We often work until dark. I've finished lawns in the dark, no kidding. Just a few weeks ago, we'd gotten behind because of rain, I finished a lawn at 9:45pm. That was pushing it, but I got no complaints. We try to finish residential lawns by 6pm, we have a couple commercial accounts, schools and daycares that have to be done in the evening. I wish we could be done at 2:30-3pm everyday. On our 12-13hr days, that is about when we eat lunch.
Was out until 11:30 one night this year... business only, no nearby rez...
yah, i kind of thought it was a dumb question too was just curious.
I have worked till dark many days. The wife was pissed but yall know how that is. They are pissed because your not making enough money, and you never will, or their pissed because you are never home. It's a lose lose. The other night I didn't get done working, cleaning tanks, paperwork, meetings, until after midnight. She really didn't like that.
After 20+ years my wife is used to it. I like to do commercial props after 5 to avoid the res chats and its the best time to avoid cars, ect. I try to be home by 9-10 at the latest so I have time to do paperwork, billing, ect.
