A local radio station here in the Twin Cities and a small stretch of highway in Colorado has a show called "garage logic"

    www.garagelogic.com/ica.htm

They explain that a guys perceived self-worth increases in direct proportion to the number of internal combustion chambers under his or her control.

Since we are all in control of many cylinders as lawn care operators, I thought you may all be interested to count your cylinders.

Only working equipment is to be counted.

My index formula is as follows:

    Mower 2
    Mower 1
    blower 1
    blower 1
    trimmer 1
    edger 1
    Auto 6
    Auto 4
    Auto 3 (Don't laugh)
    Truck 6

    Toroguys C.I. =26

Auto 4 soon to be R.I.P, then Im down to 22

It should be near my age (36) :(

Check the link for more info.

    Garden tractor - 2
    Garden tractor - 1
    Riding mower - 1
    21" 'er - 1
    21" 'er - 1
    21" 'er - 1
    21" 'er - 1
    Tiller - 1
    Old pump engine - 1
    weedeater - 1
    weedeater - 1
    blower - 1
old engine not hooked to anything yet - 1
old chainsaw that 'almost' runs - 1

That's 15, my age. Then I have about 1/2 dozen parts weedeaters and about 1/2 dozen parts engines. So total cylinder index (running and not) is about 27 or so. Then if you count Dad's boat, you will get 2 more cylinders, if you count our cars you get the van=8, car=4, car=6. And on a weekly basis I also use a friend's garden tractor=2 and Lawnboy=1 and weedeater=1. This makes the total count to about 60 cylinders!
But that's not hardly fair...... so make it about 19 that run that I use regularly.

I have my JThomas catalog out, gotta beat Greenquest...:)

If you poke around in the above link you can print out a certificate of your total, bound to impress!
