.95 for me. Any larger does too much damage and takes up too much room on the spool.

105 stihl (red) string for all my trimmers. Definitely holds up better than 095, for me.

0.95 on all line trimmers. This is for general use around well maintained lawns. The lawns that are overgrown I will switch out spools and use the .105 .
If stuff is too overgrown it drudge out the Dr. Trimmer with the heavy stuff!!!!!

Edging with the line trimmer will waste a lot of string but it is better in cost than changing out blades. However, most new guys will go through a spool of string a day.........I go through a spool a week or less. It all depends on the severity of the accounts. Or tell the guys to keep the head off the ground and watch the length of the line.

Last year when I was running a crew I went through 13 lawns(not small) with 1 spool from one of our FS 90's. My technique is letting the tip cut only and not the entire string. 0.095.
