I have been driving myself up a wall about buying a dump truck, and I really can't afford the $40,000 nut for a new dump now. But I do have a very reliable 1985 Ford F350 one ton Dually rack body, and have decided to try to locate a decent used dump body to install on it. The truck is very clean with no rot or rust and the interior is near perfect. I believe it is at 56,000 original miles. My question is what is the proper wheel base for a one ton dump truck. I understand that there are several based upon the trucks original specs and applications. I just want to ensure that this would be worth the effort and also that it is done safely and correct. Does any body know where to locate used dump bodies in NY?? Thanks.:dizzy:
