If you're operating (or have operated) a mini wheeled skid with tracks, please share your experience. I'm trying to decide between a dedicated track unit and a wheeled unit that I can put tracks on when I need the added traction. Thanks for your input

    D-,

What is the application you will be using the machine a majority of the time? That will help in how to answer your question.

I would think anyone buying a piece of equipment would consider what you suggest. But, since I have no experience with a wheeled unit with tracks I have no information to plug into my buying equation. Therefore, I am hoping to get some input from those who have experience with wheeled units with tracks over the wheels.

    dedicated track unit.... no doubt..
we have the tx425 and demo'd the 323 with track over wheels.. also another company here has one set up like that and they bite.

the dedicated track machine has much better flotation becuase the track is supported by rollers along it's legnth.. and is longer.
the track over wheel has no support between the wheels.

also the dedicated track machines have more lift capacity and are beefier units.. more expensive, but more than worth it.
