when is the best time to apply pre emergents?

    when? and when is the best time to fertilize. i'm getting my license soon, and i promise i won't apply till i get it

    oh no. I will be the first sucker. I always apply when ground temp is between 40 to 50 degrees

    ground temp is a big clue. Also crab grass germinates around the same time as forsythia blooms. Apply prior to the bloom in your area.

    whoa whoa whoa whoa, you've been crticizing me for not having a fertilizing liscence when i dont do it in the first place and now you admit to not having one?????? UNBELIEVABLE.

    Are you going to get insurance too and apply that fert for free because your such a nice guy? :p

    well, i'm gonna get it soon, i'm taking the classes, and studying real hard, and my friend, well, he says as long as i just buy it from home depot, it will be ok.

    We apply upto March 10th for crap grass and again in 6 weeks for goose grass.

    best time to apply pre-emergents is before the seeds start to germinate :D
