I just bought a pm 260z. when should i change the break-in oil?
i was told 50 hours
I do't know what gravely suggest, or what engine you are using, but we make the initial oil change on all new machines after five(5) hours of use.
it is sometimes possible to have some metal shavings in there, and you don't need those in any longer than necessary.
after your intitial oil change, then you can go 50 hours if you wish.
The manual indicates you should change at 50 hrs. for the first time then every 100 hrs. there after. That is what is recommended from the engine manufacture. You can change oil sooner if you like.
Well its a 25hp Kolher. I have 22 hours on it
Change it or pay later.
