We have decided to add aerating and dethatching to our list this year since we just went out and bought a couple of ryan aerators and dethatchers. I know you aerate in the fall. My question is when do yall start aerating in the fall? I would like to go ahead and start lining up customers for this fall, but im not sure on when to schedule this for. Thanks for your help.

We start in late Sept. Depending on the weather, if it is still too dry, we start in early Oct.

I don't think it really matters when you start aerating in the fall, what matters more is if you are putting out seed. While I don't really see the point in aerating and then putting out seed, everyone does it and everyone wants it done (so I will do it). The main thing is you just need to make sure you do it when it isn't so hot that the seed won't germinate.
