To pick up a used piece of equipment?

If I'm looking for a used WB...

I have a pretty good relationship with my lawn mower maintenance shop... I guess I should just ask them to let their customers that he has a buyer for a used WB...

    Suggestions...

Personally, I would avoid the maintenance shop because they will usually get top dollar. Watch the local newspaper ads.

right about now. As the lesser operations go under and start unloading their stuff. There will be more available in the spring, but they normally command a higher price and you take more of a chance cause some nut job might have spent all winter "fixing" it.

Check craigslist and on ebay you can search for stuff around you to go take a look at. Bought my exmark that way.

The best time to buy a piece of equipment in at the end of the season. The seller wants some money for winter, or slower times for you southern boys. They dont want to store the equipment. Things like mowers and blowers can be found on ebay or craigslist by the dozen in the late fall/early winter. You'll find some for sale in the spring too.
