My wife's Explorer just went out of warranty and wouldn't ya know it, the thermostat goes out. I am assuming it was the thermo. The AC started to get warm and then the heat needle goes up to almost the red zone. Thank God I've trained her right and she pulled over without frying the engine. The fluids were all normal and the belts were fine. Is it the thermo? Also I read just a couple of days ago on here about cars that just got out of warranty and the manufacturer funds the dealer for repairs. Anyone have any info? Thanks BTW: the explorer has under 35K. and new Prestone this winter.
