We are going today to mow and measure the beds. Has anyone used the Echo bed re-definer? It doesn't actually act as an edger from what I can tell, just helps to re-establish existing beds?

@lazor-cut, that is a nice tight lip. I plan on creating a couple new tree rings, they have a couple now, but I know know why the previous guy didn't do it to all the trees.

OK, here are a few pics.... Any thoughts on what to do on the shrubs along the brick wall along the drive? Just mulch below them, any point in trying to edge against the brick?

Can it be saved? Should I suggest just getting rid of it?

Don't bother with an Echo redefiner. They're awful at everything unless you're "redefining" an existing 6" edge in dry sandy soil with no rocks, clay, or moisture. And even then it still sucks.

You probably don't want to sink the money into a GOOD walk behind (or pull-behind) edger as they'll cost a few grand at least.

You could rent a good walk behind bed edger for a few days.

Or go out and buy a few good edging spades, like this guy

This is probably a dumb question but does anyone think a regular stick edger would throw down a good edge for the beds
