which extention pole tree trimmer

    Any advice on which extention pole trimmer to buy?

    Shindaiwa multi tool add the tree pruner and can add 4 or 5 other attachments. Easy to store and snap in articulate hedge trimmer, edger Shindaiwas are tough will last forever. Have been runnin mine 2 years and hasnt been in the shop once.

    we use john deere works great. i heard solo has one that you can buy extensions to add to the length.

    All depends, is this a main line of work for you?
    Because for myself, I do get the odd tree branch needs cutting off but I use a hand pole saw, I think I paid $10 for mine...
    They do sell a better quality for $20-$30 but for the 3-4 times a year I use mine it's plenty good.

    Now if you plan on using it a lot more, then get a gas-driven one yes.

    Thanks for the info. I basically need the trimmer for a few spring clean-up contracts that I have. I only am contracted to trim low branches but it is hard to look at a tree that has a crossing or poorly placed branch and ignore it.
