What is a stronger engine for your trimmers, backpack blowers, edgers?

    I use all Shindaiwa equipment..

2 cycle grass trimmer or 4 cycle grass trimmer?
    T-260/270 or T-350?

4 stroke has more torque so its stronger.

2 cycles depend more on speed to get the work done but 4 cycle will have more torque as was stated.

Yup, 4-cycles have more torque & 2-cycles have more speed. So Generally the same sized 4-stroke will have more twisting force, commonly known as torque.

From what i've heard, 2 cycle engines fire twice as much as 4 cycle engines, thus more power. compare the 2 cycle toro mower to the 4. 2 cycle wins, any day. Shoot... my 2 cycle 49cc moped blew away my 70cc 4 cycle moped. Ah, those were the days.

2 cycle engines do create a "power stroke" twice as often as a 4 cycle mix engine. You get more power with less cc's than a 4 cycle with less weight.

Less maintenance and other issues as well...

Go with the Shindaiwa T-260 or 270. Awesome 2 cycle trimmers!!
