I love mowing, but I hate the initial clean-up. Would any pros care to recommend which machine to buy to shorten the time and save my back and hamstrings? Are the tow behind vacuum/chippers worth the expense, or do I go with a humble tow behind lawn sweeper? On 2 acres, I have copious leaves & branches.

I don't know about that. My Cyclone Rake is great for leaves but not branches. I have to pick the big ones up by hand and the smaller twigs usually have to be first collected in piles using a lawn rake. But fortunately, that's usually only a once-a-year chore.

Depends on if you have a place to dispose of leaves "on site" or if they need to be hauled away.

I don't know why this is priced so high. I think I paid $275 for mine. But it is worth it .

Regarding the DR Tow-Behind vac system

Will it pick up twigs? If so, what is the max. diameter and length?

I mulch leaves, but I need something to pick up the twigs / small branches.
