    Hello gentlemen
I have been turned on to machetes, apparently they are good. I would like to purchase one. Can someone recommend a mid to high range one that works well and holds up well? I don't want something that will fall apart in a month.
    thanks alot

Our daily users are military surplus and last for years. I have a Silky Yoki for my self. Takes a little skill to use ,but worth the 90 bucks and does surgery on tropicals.

Have a look at the Bear Grylis Parang by Gerber.

Nah, just a generic term for any army-navy surplus store. Most cities have them. Weapons, clothing, boots, camping and tactical gear. Lots of cool stuff. They also carry canvas scabbards for the machete.
