I'm looking at buying a power wash to keep the trucks and under mower decks clean and welcome some opinions on the 2 choices I've narrowed it down to. #1 Devilbiss 2800psi Cat pump with a 6.5hp Honda GX 2 year warranty Or #2 Karcher 3100psi with a Subaru/Robin 9hp with a 1 year warranty. It will be a online purchase so "dealer support" is not a issue.
So which one do you suggest?

The Devilbiss is about $120 cheaper!

What is the GPM on each. For what you are describing, I would think that the 2800 PSI woudl be plenty, but only it if is producing more gallons per minute. Sometimes, more water volume will wash better than the water pressure. For what you are doing, either would be acceptable, but if they are only producing 2 GPM vs 3.5 to 4 GPM, then the extra pressure would not really be very advantageous.

    Don't know.

I am setting up a cold water rig now for the pressure washing side of my business. I am initially going to get a E-Series Belt drive, 4GPM at 3500PSI with a 13.5 HP Honda Engine and set it on a trailer with a 525 water tank and a 50 gal chemical tank. Once I get my name out there with the pressure washing and I have a little money, I will upgrade to a Hotsy, hot water unit, and add another hose reel. Then I will have two power units One Hot/Cold and one Cold drawing off of one 525 gal tank.

I know this is overkill for what you are looking to get your for, it is good info for anyone getting in the business.

Just wanting it for fleet & equipment maintenance & if by chance any of my accounts ask about driveway or patio cleaning. But I'm not looking to market the service, just mostly for the shop.

Hotsy fine i buy a lot of chemicals from them, but for power washers 90 percent of all power washers come out of florida you can save a ton on skids with the florida boys i been in this full time for a few years, just trying to save you some bucks.
