which sulky

    hi just bought a 54 scag mower and it has a 1 wheel sulky on it i am a big guy (350 pounds) and the sulky makes a rut when riding the sulky was thinking bout buying a 2 wheel sulky just wandering what is the best and if the 2 wheels will still make ruts or not i have been looking and i like the looks of the swivel wheel models but dont know thanks for any input

    I doubt any castoring sulky would work for you? but a 2 wheel trailering sulky would be best, maybe get the wheel areas beefed up a bit by a welder, there was a guy on here once that said he had to add in extra supports due to his weight, but cant remember his name. But even the 2 wheel sulkies are going to leave ruts with 350 on them. You may be able to find some wider wheels and tires for the sulky, this will definitely help.
